Write and design a report for each unit of the Interactive Media course.
Audience: College course assessors.
Deliverables: Deliver research, text and a design layout for each of the 4 units.
Solution:
My research into each topic yielded a significant amount of text so it was important to organise it efficiently and make it easy to read. I knew the target audience would have a lot of similar research reports to go through, so I used basic design tools and concepts to enhance their experience not only by giving them a very well-organised and readable report but also by adding a touch of playfulness that would help them engage better with the content. Therefore, I treated the 4 units as separate chapters of a unified report. I kept the same typefaces and double-spread layout structure for all of them to create unity. Yet, I created a distinct colour story for each one and variated the design elements according to the content of each unit. This resulted in a pleasant and engaging reading experience.
